Edit Or Remove A Project

  • You can edit everything about your project.

    To edit your project.

    1. Click the Projects tab.

    2. Locate the project you want in My Projects > Project Details > click Edit Project on the right side.

    To remove your project.

    1. Click the Projects tab and locate the project you want to close in My Projects > Project Details.

    2. Click Remove Project on the right side.

Note: You can only delete the project when it is in the draft or there are no proposals. If your project already has a quote or you have invited a freelancer, you can't delete the project. However, you can make private so that the freelancer can no longer see your project.

    To change a project's visibility

    1. Click the Projects tab.

    2. Locate the project you want in My Projects > Project Details and click Make Public or Make Private on the right side:

    - Public projects appear in freelancers' project searches. Choose this so that they can find your project on their own. You may also opt to allow your project to be visible on search engines.

    - Private, invitation-only projects don't appear in searches, so you'll need to take the time to find and invite all the freelancers you need.

If you change the visibility from Public to Private you may still get a few proposals. This is because a freelancer may have saved your project's URL, the URL may have already loaded in their RSS feed reader, or the project post still appears in search engines outside of Getdone (it usually takes about a day for them to remove your project after a visible change).
